Practical Nursing (PN) Courses

PN 101 Practical Nursing 1 (5-6) 7 credits

This course introduces foundational nursing concepts to provide safe, patient-centered care. The student will focus on providing safe patient-centered care, utilizing beginning clinical judgment to meet the basic needs of patients and families across the lifespan. PN 102 Practical Nursing 2 (4-9) 7 credits

This course expands the concepts of health care to individuals and families experiencing common physical/mental health problems. The student will focus on the professional nursing role in developing clinical judgment, inter-professional communication and teamwork, and interventions to provide safe patient-centered care to patients with acute and chronic health problems across the lifespan.
